If you have been looking for a way to get those gorgeous, long-lasting extensions at home without the steep learning curve of acrylics, you’ve probably heard the buzz about Polygel. It is the secret weapon for at-home nail lovers.
In this guide, we are breaking down everything you need to know to master the art of the home mani using the Paddie Polygel Starter Kit valued at $92.94 for $49.99 only!
What is Polygel anyway?
If acrylic and gel had a baby, it would be Polygel. It has the strength of acrylic but the flexibility and ease of a hard gel.
The best part? It doesn’t air-dry like acrylic. It only hardens when you put it under a UV or LED lamp. This means you have all the time in the world to shape your nail perfectly.
What’s in our Polygel Starter Kit
We have simplified the process by putting everything into our Polygel Starter Kit. Here is what you’ll be using:
- The Polygel: The star of the show.
- Application Kit : The tools to make your own nails, includes 20 different nail tips, brush and spatula combo, slip solution and the nail clip.
- Base & Top Coat: The "glue" and the "shine" that makes it last.
- UV/LED Lamp: To cure and harden the gel.

Step 1: Nail Preparation
Clean, trim, and lightly buff your natural nails to create a smooth surface for the gel.
Step 2: Apply Primer and Base
Brush on a thin layer of primer followed by a base coat to help the polygel stick properly.
Step 3: Polygel Application
Squeeze a small amount of polygel into the nail form and spread it evenly using your brush and slip solution.
Step 4: Apply the Form to Your Nail
Gently press the filled nail form onto your natural nail, making sure it is lined up correctly.
Step 5: Use the UV Lamp
Place your hand under the UV lamp to cure and harden the gel.
Step 6: Remove Form and Apply Top Coat
Gently pop off the plastic form, then apply a top coat and cure one last time for a shiny finish.
Paddie’s Tip!
The beauty of Polygel is that it’s forgiving. If you mess up the shape, you just wipe it off and start over before you cure it. It is lightweight, feels natural, and once you get the hang of it, you can do a full set while watching your favorite show on Netflix.
